Return and Refund Policy for Capitanini Prints

At Capitanini Prints, your satisfaction is our priority. We stand behind the quality of every limited edition print we create. Each piece is crafted using gallery-grade materials and professional printing processes. We accept returns for defective or damaged items that meet the criteria below. Please read the following policy carefully.
1. Return Eligibility and Window
We accept returns for defective or damaged items for up to 30 days from the date you received your order.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must have been purchased directly from Capitanini Prints.
- The product must be defective or damaged (manufacturing defects, printing errors, damage during shipping, incorrect item shipped).
- You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery to report damage or defects.
- Photographic documentation of the defect or damage must be provided.
2. Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of our limited edition fine art prints, all sales are final for non-defective items. We do not accept returns or exchanges for:
- Non-defective prints (buyer's remorse, change of mind, or preference)
- Custom framing orders (unless defective or damaged)
- Limited edition prints that are not defective or damaged
- Items purchased as final sale or during promotional periods
Important: Because our prints are limited editions and custom framed to order, please review size, framing options, and product details carefully before placing your order.
3. Process for Returns (By Mail)
All returns must be handled by mail. We do not currently offer in-person returns.
To initiate a return for a defective or damaged item:
- Contact Us: Email us at support@capitaniniprints.com within 24 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Clear photographic documentation showing the defect or damage
- Description of the issue
- Receive Authorization: Once your return is authorized, you will receive instructions on how to safely package and mail your item.
- Return Shipping: For defective or damaged items, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label for you to download and print. For all other return requests, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Ship Item: Carefully package the print according to our instructions and mail it back to the address provided in the return authorization.
4. Refunds
Upon receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will notify you of the status of your refund.
- No Restocking Fees: We do not charge any restocking fees for returns of defective or damaged items.
- Refund Processing Time: Once the return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned print. Please allow up to 14 days for the refund to be fully processed and for the credit to appear on your statement.
- Refund Amount: For defective or damaged items, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price including original shipping costs.
5. Replacements and Exchanges
For defective or damaged limited edition prints, we will offer a replacement of the same print when possible. If the specific print is no longer available due to the edition selling out, we will process a full refund. We do not offer exchanges for non-defective items.
If you wish to exchange a defective product for a different print or size, please contact us at support@capitaniniprints.com to check availability and arrange the exchange.
6. Reporting Damage or Defects
Inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
If you receive a damaged or defective print:
- Report the issue within 24 hours of delivery
- Email support@capitaniniprints.com with your order number
- Include clear photographs showing:
- The damaged packaging (if applicable)
- The defect or damage to the print
- Any printing errors or quality issues
Failure to report damage or defects within 24 hours may affect your eligibility for a return.
7. Order Cancellations
Before Production:Need to modify or cancel your order? Contact us within 24 hours of placing your order with your order number at support@capitaniniprints.com. After 24 hours, all sales are final as production begins on your custom-framed limited edition print.
After Production:Once production has begun (typically 24 hours after order placement), orders cannot be canceled and all sales are final, subject only to our defective/damaged item return policy.
8. Shipping Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by you, you will be responsible for reshipping costs for redelivery. We strongly recommend verifying your shipping address before completing your order.
9. Return Limitations
- Returns are only accepted from customers within the United States.
- Items returned without prior authorization may be refused.
- Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet our defective/damaged criteria.
